Craftsmanship & Details
Every Dainty Leaf porch swing is handcrafted using carefully selected materials chosen for both beauty and long-term durability. We use 1×5½" Southern Yellow Pine for the back slats and arm supports, paired with a 3½-inch solid oak armrest that provides a beautiful contrast while creating the perfect place to rest a glass of sweet tea.
Our signature 4×4 posts are specially ordered from a local sawmill — premium Southern Yellow Pine, surfaced on all four sides for a smooth, furniture-quality appearance. The frame is constructed from 1½"×4½" Southern Yellow Pine or Douglas Fir, creating a strong foundation designed to provide years of dependable use.
To protect the swing from the elements, we install oak armrests and cedar post caps, chosen for their natural resistance to moisture, decay, and insects. Cedar performs exceptionally well in the heat, humidity, and coastal conditions of the South Carolina Lowcountry, making it an ideal choice for protecting the end grain of the posts and extending the life of the swing.
The Charleston is built using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, reinforced at every corner with 6-inch structural lag screws. Because Charleston's humid climate causes wood to naturally expand and contract throughout the seasons, this combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering ensures every swing stays solid, square, and wobble-free for years to come.
We finish every painted swing with Sherwin-Williams® FORTE® Exterior Acrylic Urethane — engineered for exceptional durability, superior color retention, and long-lasting beauty. Designed to resist fading, peeling, cracking, and blistering even in intense sun, high humidity, and changing weather conditions.

Online pricing reflects swings up to Twin size (75"×38") or smaller. If you choose a Twin XL (80"×38") or a larger custom size, additional fees will apply depending on the final dimensions.
We use Sherwin-Williams Forte™ paint — a premium, urethanized acrylic coating designed for exterior use. Black or white paint is included. Any additional color is (+$100).
Four 1-inch Pro-Manila ropes, whipped at both ends to prevent fraying. (+$200)

What size should I choose?
It depends on your porch and how you plan to use it. The Twin (75×38) is our most popular size for two adults. If you have a smaller porch or want a swing for one, the Small Single (75×30) is a great fit. We'll measure your space at the consultation and give you a clear recommendation — no guesswork required.
How long does it take to receive my swing?
Most swings are delivered within 3 weeks of placing your order. We'll confirm the exact timeline at your consultation.
Do you deliver and install in the Charleston area?
Yes. We serve Mount Pleasant, Charleston, Daniel Island, James Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, and the surrounding Lowcountry. Installation is available as an add-on for $350 and includes full hanging and leveling at your home.
