Craftsmanship & Details
Every Vintage Porch Swing is handcrafted using premium primed kiln-dried pressure treated pine, specially milled to our 1⅝" × 1⅝" profile for the arms and horizontal back slats. This exclusive profile is the smallest in our collection, creating a lighter visual appearance without compromising structural integrity. The frame is constructed from 1½" × 4½" primed pressure-treated kiln-dried pine, providing exceptional strength and stability.
Our woven rattan cane is imported directly from Vietnam and carefully installed by routing precision channels into the frame, allowing the cane and spline to fit seamlessly for a clean, furniture-quality finish. The combination of premium lumber and natural cane creates a distinctive look that performs beautifully in the heat, humidity, and changing seasons of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
We build every porch swing using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, reinforced at every corner with 6-inch construction lag screws. Charleston's humidity puts real stress on wood joints over time — even a well-cut mortise and tenon can work loose as the wood expands and contracts through our seasons. The lag screws are our answer to that: they lock each joint firmly in place, so your swing stays solid and tight for years to come, not just when it's new.
The Vintage's slender 1⅝" × 1⅝" wood profile complements its substantial 1½" × 4½" frame, creating a clean, architectural look that feels elegant without appearing bulky. The front posts measure 18 inches in height while the rear posts extend to 26 inches, giving the swing its balanced proportions and supportive backrest. Every swing is custom built to fit your porch, with depths typically ranging from 32 to 38 inches. Black and white finishes are included at no additional cost, while any custom Sherwin-Williams® color is available for an additional $100, with the remaining paint provided for future touch-ups. Every painted Vintage is finished with Sherwin-Williams® FORTE® Exterior Acrylic Urethane, engineered to withstand the intense Lowcountry sun, high humidity, and coastal conditions.

Online pricing reflects swings up to Twin size (75"×38") or smaller. If you choose a Twin XL (80"×38") or a larger custom size, additional fees will apply depending on the final dimensions.
Black or white is included at no additional cost. Any custom Sherwin-Williams color is available for (+$100) — we'll provide the remaining paint for future touch-ups.

Most swings are delivered within 3 weeks of placing your order. We'll confirm the exact timeline at your consultation.
Do you deliver and install in the Charleston area?
Yes. We serve Mount Pleasant, Charleston, Daniel Island, James Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, and the surrounding Lowcountry. Installation is available as an add-on for $350 and includes full hanging and leveling at your home.
